

If you’re feeling crafty, you can use a Speak with Dead spell on the Blinded Elf to learn more about her story. There’s a spot with a skull facing a mirror you can interact with, a woman holding her herald, a Petrified man, an eye facing a dead Blinded Elf, and a talking door. With one man in fear yelling, it’s clear something isn’t right here. Taking a look around the room you’ll notice there are multiple people down here trapped. She’ll demand you leave and regardless of whether you do, she’ll disappear leaving you to wonder where she went. Down the stairs leads to an area called the Overgrown Tunnel where you can find Auntie Ethel in her true form as an old hag. This is where Auntie Ethel wanders off to if you had her help with removing the parasite.

Now that you’ve discovered the hidden stairway behind the Riverside Teahouse, it’s time to explore a little further. Depending on whether Baldur’s Gate III has a level scaling system, you may not be prepared for the fight.

She’ll tell you that her door is always open to you depending on how your conversation goes. Ending the conversation you’ll get a glance at her magic when she teleports Mayrina away. You can cut a deal with her to remove the parasite or decide otherwise and she won’t mind. She wants one of your eyes and only for a moment to kiss it and then return it. Upon asking for help dealing with the parasite, she’ll offer to do in exchange for something quite odd. Somehow she senses the mind flayer parasite in your head and offers to help. Then, she’ll draw her attention to you where you can introduce yourself. Before Auntie Ethel notices you, she’s demanding Mayrina finishes eating a pie since she’s pregnant and eating for two.
